Conference Theme

The theme of Tenth ICOQM is “Building World Class Operations Management: Issues, Challenges, and Opportunities.” Operations management is an area of management concerned with overseeing, designing, and redesigning business operations in the production of goods and services. The primary goal of operations management is to ensure that business operations are efficient in terms of using as few resources as possible, and effective in terms of meeting the customer requirements. More generally, operations management aims to increase the content of value-added activities in any given process. Fundamentally, these value-adding creative activities should be aligned with market opportunity for optimal enterprise performance.

The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum that stimulates discussion on the conference theme and on topics related to the theme. The conference will also provide opportunities for networking and collaboration amongst scholars from academia, industry and government. In addition to papers on the conference theme and the emerging fields noted above, scholars may submit papers on any aspect of the traditional disciplines of management like accounting, marketing, finance, OB, HRM, MIS, entrepreneurship, quantitative methods, operations, economics,  etc.
